As mentioned above, the barrel is created from a cross-section slice of a molar tooth from the wooly mammoth - ten thousand years old, very rare, and found mainly in the bottom of the North Sea. Each piece is resin stabilized for durability and is perfectly suited for collectors and light use.

The pocket clip is formed from 17-4 surgical stainless steel, tempered for a lifetime of service. Tension is provided by a custom fitting inlaid with a natural gemstone, precision cut and captured in an 18k gold bezel.

The interior frame of this writing instrument contains aerospace-grade titanium and aluminum. Chromium steel balls imbedded in a titanium ring on the cap are captured in wave-shaped grooves in titanium collars for closed and post positions.

The end caps are crafted from a hand-forged tapestry of mokume, woven from multiple layers of copper, brass, and nickel silver. Each part is clear-coated with epoxy to protect the patina. The black components are Ebonite, a very hard and durable vulcanize rubber, custom made in Germany to William Henry's specifications. The 18k gold nib is also crafted in Germany.

Every piece of William Henry comes with a lifetime warranty and certificate of authenticity.
