Kirk Kara began his apprenticeship in 1965 under the direction of his father. He soon developed an eye for selecting quality diamonds and gemstones. Learning to carve waxes, set stones and hand engrave each piece, he later mastered all aspects of the crafting process. Today it is the sense of family that his pieces evoke - "the ideal attribute for jewelry design to signify the beginning of a new family". These treasures, designed by the past to worn today, reflect each woman's style.
His daughters, Angela and Grace, followed their father’s footsteps, embracing the art of jewelry design and interoduced a freshness of true blue sapphires to the collection. They’ve launced engagement rings with matching wedding bands that when combined, form a one of a kind bond between style and comfort. The Kirk Kara Collection has been showcased in magazines such as Grace Ormonde Wedding Style, Bridal Guide and Martha Stewart Weddings. Pieces from his Angelique Collection were voted Engagement 101’s 2011 Bridal Jewelry Awards Winner for Best Woman’s Band and Best Matching Set. With Kirk Kara, you will find jewelry that epitomizes enduring romance and future heirloom pieces that will be enjoyed every day.
